How can CB Intrinsic® Classes help me?
The knowledge gained through education directed toward HOW to deal with and/or heal from long-term stress provides support, new understanding and perspectives, problem-solving skills, and advanced coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, unresolved conflicts, grief, emotion management, self-empowerment, insomnia and chronic physical pain. Many people also find that these classes are transformational and a tremendous aid for personal and professional growth.
CBi classes can provide a fresh perspective and point you in the right direction for finding life changing solutions.

Will these classes help me handle stress?
CBi classes teach how to become responsive, rather than reactive and how to replace stress with calm. We will experience stress no matter what, but we can learn how to minimize the negative effects of long-term stress, which is the most toxic form of stress. We can minimize stress in healthy ways to respond with a calm and more focused mind from this point forward. Controlling stress better is truly Joyful (of all things), Healthy and Empowering.

What is it like to attend CB Intrinsic® classes?
In order to be effective, focus groups have shown that taking CBi classes in quick succession to immerse students in the course material is a more effective method than spreading classes out over time. There are two preferred methods for taking the 6 classes of EMCR:
1) Take 2 classes a day for three afternoons in a row, or scheduled as closely as possible.
2) Take 3 classes a day, completing the EMCR in two days. We have found that it is best to begin the first class of EMCR the day before, getting half-way through it. That is why the suggested schedule begins Friday evening, and continues all day Saturday and Sunday.
For the EMCR plus Overcoming Anxiety Combo and its 7 classes, there is usually time to fit the extra class in without needing an extra day. If an extra day is needed, however, it is best to schedule it as soon as possible. Scheduling time is flexible. Sometimes, students schedule it for months out. It’s all good.
Classroom seating is comfortable and the space is designed to help students feel relaxed. Topics are presented so that concepts progress from basic to complex to ensure understanding. Students are encouraged to ask questions to gain the most understanding possible from each topic.
Our brains learn new material better when we take an active part. Therefore, handouts are not provided for Programs. Most students bring a spiral notebook for taking notes to benefit from the hand-eye-brain connection. They ask questions and discuss concepts. Interaction helps integrate new concepts for better understanding. It’s an enriching process and what is learned impacts many aspects of how we live life.
Beverages (water, coffee with flavorings, tea, hot chocolate) and snacks are offered. There is a refrigerator for foods that students bring. There are breaks for meals and intermissions about halfway through each class.

The knowledge gained from this education enhances the impact and success of any other therapy you choose.
Do you take insurance, and how are CBi Course tuitions priced?
Since CBi courses, workshops and classes are “educational”, they are not covered by health insurance. Therefore, tuition or fees are designed to be competitive with therapy costs covered by insurance. Course tuition prices are fee-based, and not based on “time”, to encourage student discussions.
CBi EMCR, Overcoming Anxiety/EMCR Combo, CBi Pain Control Workshop and CBi Better Sleep Class tuitions are a flat rate so discussion time becomes Free. This is done mainly to Encourage On-Topic Discussions, which aids learning and improves chances for successful implementation of concepts toward the student’s desired behavioral change.
Where are Creating Balance Institute classes offered?
CBi Classes are offered in Fort Collins, Colorado. Please notify us if you’d like CBi courses to be offered in your town. Webinars are also a possibility. Please notify me of your interest so we can work toward making it happen.
